Step 18 : Confirm your air tickets

Pay the money to the travel agent for the tickets that you had blocked earlier. This can be done in last week of June or 1st week of July. You don't need a visa for this step. So if you or your friends have not got the visa yet, you can still pay the money. It is assumed that all students get the visa unless you goof up big time in the interview.

Most of the airlines, provide you with e tickets. Don't worry, you can carry them to the airports. When you get the ticket from the travel agent, ask him where is the PNR number (the page is complicated, and finding a small number on it is difficult). Using this PNR number (or sometimes also the ticket number) you can login to the airlines' website and request for a seat, the type of meal, see what the on-board facilities are and things like that.
